I appear to be on what the professionals call a blogging hiatus and I just call a messed up work/life balance. Either way the wondrous Tara has called me out on it and insisted I complete 2 memes of which this is the first.

As with all good memes this one is recycled, this time from the Guardian Weekend magazine, which is apt really as it’s where I used to get most of my ‘inspiration’ for posts. I should point out now that I hate these things and will blame Tara utterly for the fact that I’m going to come across as a complete eejit….

Which living person do you most admire, and why?
That’s a toughie, I’m going to come back to that one…
When were you happiest
Oh FFS – I’ll come back to that one too…

What was your most embarrassing moment?
There was the dwarf incident in Tesco, that wasn’t great. Asking a co-worker how long she had to go, and OBVIOUSLY she wasn’t pregnant wasn’t the best either, but losing in the mum’s race on Sports Day was crucifying…

Aside from property, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought?
My mac book pro, and yes I do love it, and yes I am a mac nerd.

What is your most treasured possession?
My health

Where would you like to live?
Last weekend we had a day of perfect weather, a light spring breeze danced over the warmth of a polite sun – it was epic and I thought then “if I could live somewhere that feels like this all the time it would be effing perfection”  – so that’s where.
What’s your favourite smell?
Honeysuckle and Jasmine on a summer eve.  That said, I bloody LOVE Narciso Rodriguez if anyone’s after present ideas.

Who would play you in the film of your life?
Coach Sue…

What is your favourite book?
I generally love the book I’ve just finished but my eternal fave is PD James, The Children of Men – that and the Magic Faraway Tree

What is your most unappealing habit?
Biting my cuticles

What would be your fancy dress costume of choice?
Queenie (Blackadder)

What is your earliest memory?
Seeing my friend going off to hospital after falling off his Raleigh Chopper – aged 8ish (I have a terrible memory)

What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Twitter

What do you owe your parents?
Money, love, support, more money….

To whom would you most like to say sorry, and why?
To the women who I beat to the empty till at Focus yesterday – I know you’d been waiting longer but I needed to get home and plant those bedding plants REALLY BADLY.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My children – they are at once amazing/exasperating/beautiful/brave/awe-inspiring/mine

What does love feel like?
An internal rush of warmth

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Oh My God / Absolutely / Such Fun (a recent fave) / FFS

What is the worst job you’ve done?
Working in a sandwich factory off the Holloway Road

If you could edit your past, what would you change?
Not a lot – maybe gone at things a little harder, taken more chances, worried less, laughed more…

What is the closest you’ve come to death?
A ruptured fallopian tube from an ectopic pregnancy. Too close – not nice

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
That I can finally spell necessary without resorting to spellcheck. Now to master graffiti/graffitti

When did you last cry, and why?
Today, for lots of reasons

How do you relax?
Reading, writing, laughing

What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
A Range Rover discovery – no really….

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
You just never know what’s coming, hold on tight and give as much as you possibly can – it’ll all come good in the end

See?! Complete eejit – that bloody Cain women…..

Ok so it’s my turn to tag now and I’m going to choose the following in the sure and certain knowledge that most of them will ignore me completely:

Jessica because she plays Basketball and I want to learn how (Is it too late?)

Amy because I’m looking forward to getting to know her better

Michelle for being the 300 Liker of ITPR today

Jenn for proving that her reach is more influential than she thought

and

Victoria for services above and beyond….

You are so not going to be ignored.

Also: it’s never too late to learn! I’ll be your…hmmm…virtual coach? This may prove difficult…

Hi I’m Him Up North, great to find this new blog… 😉

I’ve been tagged in this too. Glad to see you haven’t stolen any of my answers. Good to see you back in the blogging saddle, lady.

Well the answer to the first question should obviously be me. Your memory strikes again. When I read the bit about why you’d tagged me I thought oh how lovely is she and was all touched and everything. Then I got over myself and thought, THIS is how she thanks me? Tuh.

Godammit woman!! Why didn’t I think of Sue & Queenie for my answers?!?!?!

And it’s probably flipping ages since I’ve actually been “here” but liking the new look and layout.

Glad to discover that your worst job didn’t involve working for me. Worried that a Range Rover Disco would make your life better, but then I live in South London and I don’t need to look more like a drug dealer than I already do!

I can totally see that a Disco Mum-mobile would change your life – they’re all the range (rover) round our way. Is ‘such fun’ attributed to Miranda?

Ooo! Tag me. I’ve reached a bit of a blogging hiatus too. I never seem to have the time to construct my thoughts while work/life/family balance is all over the place, so this – in bite size – would be fun 😉

Dimwit question, I know, but what’s a meme? You can see I’ve not been at the back of the class and not paying attention.
