Curling, creeping, coiling up

suppress, suppress, suppress

Choking fingers, grasping, squeezing

Suppress, Suppress, SUPPRESS!

Momentum gaining, blinding, changing, suppression wounded, reason slayed

Shutters down, bile rising
Bloody taste taints and seals
Eyes flaring, gaze settling
Run, begone, don’t be its victim

Deep within the horror labours
Gestating fast, goodwill defied
Clawing, tearing, ripping through
Thoughts unravelled, mercy shunned

Hate explodes with havoc’s welcome

….

Then a breath, a pause, a calm

A tear, a cough, a tired shrug

Humility’s birth brings silent shame

The Dark Side wins again

No Leah, Luke or Hans to help

A smile, a hand, a gentle touch

I’m back, I’m back, I’m back

The Horror

I am in awe at anyone who can write poetry – even more so at anyone who can write poetry that keeps me reading past the first few lines – and this did just that 🙂

Thanks lovely, I really appreciate that.

I’m not overly impressed w’it but happy that I did it and posted it. Sometimes these things just have to be done.
