Welcome to Battling On.
Countless times in the last couple of years I’ve thought about moving my blog to its own home, then faltered, probably to do some work, but potentially just because I was too lazy and too busy on twitter, or WWF or some such.
Anyway, when I finally got around to thinking about it seriously I found out that some dastardly so-and-so already owned ‘my’ domain, so that was that.
Except it wasn’t. Piqued with fury that some bastard had dared to buy up my punny one liner I set out to find them, and destroy them – or possibly offer them money to please very kindly let me have the domain.
Quite hilariously it turned out that I was the owner. Had been for nearly two years. So, there you are. Next time you’re wondering why other people are lucky enough to own the crown jewels, double check that you don’t have them hidden down the back of the sofa … you never know.
I can’t promise to change my blogging habits from ‘now and again’. But I’ll be here if you fancy dropping by. The new sofa’s arriving on Wednesday so we can snuggle up and watch zingzillas…..
I’m rather impressed by you managing to completely forget already owning your own url. That’s the sort of thing I might do.
