This should really be called the Procrastination Page, because I’m creating it to avoid attacking any one of the growing number of memes and tags I’ve collected over the last few months.  I even went so far as to create my own in order to deflect some heat.

I’m feeling the need to tidy up my blog a bit, so this is where I’ll be keeping my memes…it feels good to know they’ll have their own divider in my virtual ringbinder.

For anyone who may not know, a meme (pronounced as in theme- and if you’re going to argue that point, check this) is essentially a bit of fun.  It’s a great way of connecting with different bloggers, useful for inspiration and content when blogging mojo is thin on the ground and often a diversion from your ‘normal’ blog content.  Memes and awards should never be a stress; it’s ok to say no thanks, it’s fine to not get around to it, it should NEVER be something to worry about.

I say this as someone who has at least 11 unwritten memes pending. If someone is lovely enough to tag me, I really appreciate it and I hope they realise that my lax attitude is not a slight, or any kind of insult…..just a true reflection of a busy life where blogging can’t always come first *sob*.

If you’re a new (or established) blogger, feel free to consider yourself tagged on any memes that appear here….they are there to be shared.  Also, don’t forget there are no rules for who can create a meme- if you have an idea, just do it!

Edited October 2010 to say:

You’ll notice that nothing else has appeared here. That serves only to prove how truly rubbish I am at completing memes….

What a sensible thing to do! I’ve got them in a book that I’m dreading I’ll lose!! You are such a clever clogs! Might pinch this idea if that’s OK?!

    So…where’s the list? 😉

Just found this page via Deerbaby’s question on BMB. Thought the pronouncement thing was really funny! Actually this is a very smart idea, having a page for all this shit, sorry really useful stuff 😉

I’m obsessed with the pronouncement! I keep playing it and it really makes me giggle. Everyone needs an under-the-stairs cupboard….this is the blogging equivalent! 🙂

Love that pronouncement thingy! Genius. And love the new ringbinder section. Made me chuckle.

Even at my newborn blogger stage I fine myself with a couple of Memes to do (including yours) and I think once I’ve shipped child 1 and 2 back to the land of school I will be able to do these. The Evil Germ has somewhat ruined my holiday plans.

Looking forward to reading your multi-Meme post at some point in the future when the rest of life stops inferring with your lovely blogging.

    MD xx

PS Thanks for your comment y’day. Well timed as was having a little blogger wobble. xx

Great idea. I had set up a seperate section to put the pictures of the awards up (and links to the people that gave them to me) to keep my home page unfussy, didn’t think of this though. Was thinking of setting up a seperate page for vlogs alright. In blogger one can have up to 10 seperate pages, dunno about wordpress, you can add that bit of wisdom yourself so that people will know:) Jen.

I like the idea of the ringbinder but it’s not working out that well….doesn’t email my subscribers (not that there are many LOL, but y’know!) and I think that Jen (below) has just hit on a point that I hadn’t considered…I’m going to run out of pages!

Thanks for your lovely comment….not sure why you were having a blogger wobble, but stop right there…I’ve loved yours since my first visit. xx

Thanks Jen, I’m panicking now because I don’t know the answer, but I’ve got a horrible feeling that it’s going to be the same…. I’m on 8 so far! x
