It must have been 1999.
I remember sitting in a car park, somewhere in the industrial depths of Reading with my now husband, pre-children, marriage, mortgage and responsibility.
I played this song – probably from an old maxell tape and we both marvelled at its zeitgeisty lyrics.
The pendulum has well and truly swung since then. Life has changed monumentally and we’ve shared epic highs and almost disastrous lows but we’re still here fighting the good fight and just about managing not to blame each other for all the problems that come with 3 kids, a ridiculous mortgage and the kind of house that only a lottery win could fix up.
So, C – this one’s for you…that’s all.
always, x

Reading? huh, yeah right. *raises eyebrow in knowing manner* That’s what you call it is it?
…LOL Heather! Reading as in Berkshire, The Oracle, Madejski Stadium – not Reading as in ‘quiet fumble in deserted carpark in industrial area’ *ahem – coughs politely and exits*
