Me

Over at Tara’s Sticky Fingers gallery, this week’s theme is ‘Me’.  This is my first entry and I spent a long time thinking which image to use.  I could have chosen one of my wedding pics, or the ones taken after the births of my 3 children, or a family get together but, in the end, I thought that this one most clearly defined ‘me’ at this stage of my life.

It was taken by a fab photographer Kate Everall, for a charity calendar I was involved in last year.  I think it represents the person I am; what you see is what you get, I’m honest and open, love reading and have a very well evolved sense of irony (that’s a euphemism for ‘sarcastic cow’).  In the picture you can just about make out the string of ‘pearls’ that I’m wearing….my own tongue in cheek homage to the WI who have just celebrated the 10 year anniversary of ‘The Calendar.  I’m publishing this on the day that we’re going to watch ‘Calendar Girls’ at MK theatre so  I think it’s very apt.

Me.

This is fab, so glamorous even if you do say it is tongue in cheek. I have to ask, are you wearing ANYTHING apart from the pearls?!

Haha! Thanks Livi, we actually had some contact with his ‘people’ when we were doing it but we were too late to be featured on the programme…not sure how we’d have felt about it if we’d been given the opportunity!

I missed this the first time around, but it came up on my autogenerator and I’m so glad I checked it out. Just a stunning pic. Intriguing yet so carefree and detatched from the fact that anyone at all might be looking in .. Literally ‘au naturel!’ and your pose fits perfectly in the gorgeous setting. Oh, and, Misses, you are beautiful! Be proud :-))
