After my post last week turned into an unexpected quiz, I casually mentioned that I might do the same again, but this time with album covers. The problem with having an idea like that is that you’re then unable to let it go.
Luckily, in true Blue Peter style, here’s one I made earlier. If you like it, we can do more. Really I should have some sort of prize to go with this, I haven’t but if you get full marks (Artist and Title) I’ll think of something to enable you to bathe in your own glory.
So, without further ado:
Enjoy….
Answers on a postcard email please….
Cover Versions….
Hmm, I reckon I know about half of those. Are these albums you loved, or picked for recognisable covers?
Some that I’ve loved, others because they’re iconic, and some because they’re really hard to guess!
*squeal*
Rushes to email before HuN gets a look in!!
Is there a time limit, or can I leave it till later when I have more time to think?!!
LOL Nic! You know he’s going to be right on it!
Special dispensation for friends with 7 children 😉
Finished and emailed over 😉
That was a good lunch time challenge. Kudos to my work colleague who got the one that I was pondering over for ages 😀
Nice work lady…..and I might have to grudgingly admit that you got them all right x
*does a little celebratory dane*
In fact, my dance is in the style of Safety Dance as done by the Scrubs team

Oooohh! Fun! I shall put the kettle on and sit and have a think–I immediately recognise Pink Floyd…
Oh exciting…collecting husband for his superior album art knowledge.
my lips are sealed….Good luck!
Good luck! Let me know how you get on…. x
I don’t have time to enter but this looks lots of fun – I had to compile something similar for a local quiz once and used stills from famous pop videos!
Pouts unattractively….and stamps feet…I can’t play because I am crap at music written after about 1910. I only ‘do’ classical stuff.
Although I do recognise about 5 of those. One of them I even OWNED in a moment of trying to be normal (Stone Roses).
Harumph. Roll over Beethoven etc etc.
Oh no! I’m going to be here for another three hours again. Is that the smell of burning food?
Gaaahhh. I give up. I’m disappointed that I can only get 16.
Nineteen out of twenty and my musical self-esteem is ruined. As is my life. I may be over-reacting. Great quiz! Does the winner get all the albums? Heh.
I hope I do!!
*waits by the letterbox*
I can never put the right name with the right tune so I don’t stand a chance! Can’t believe HUN is stumped though!
Well done Nickie!.. * grabs glittery pom poms* go nickie, go nickie, go nickie!
Didn’t give up. Up to 19 now (with a little help). Can’t see me geting any more.
That sounds like a good one – I love doing this kind of thing, time consuming but good fun!
Loving your attempt to be normal J – and good choice might I say? How about you do a similar thing with your fave composers?
Answers coming soon Rosie – can’t have you eating any more Carbon x
ROFL!
Help?! You’re in Nickie’s camp – An assisted 19 is no better than a standalone 16….
Nickie is victorious, although there is a disciplinary board meeting in the morning to decide if her answers stand….watch this space
