So, in my capacity as junior blogger I thought I’d dedicate a post to telling you what the rules of blogging are.

You might want to sit down at this point, or grab a handy branch if you’re reading this whilst climbing a tree or canoeing down a river.  This isn’t going to be easy…

You see, there are so many different types of blogs, styles of writing, motivations for blogging, blogging platforms and ranking systems you might think that it would be difficult to pull together a post that summarised the rules for all.

But, guess what? I’ve done it.

The faint-hearted might want to look away now:-

So there we have it folks, no rules, who’d have thought it?….now go ahead and enjoy yourselves.

Well said. I follow just one blogging rule I set myself – have fun and enjoy it. (Is that two, do you think?!)

I think there is a lot of opinion, but opinion is, by its very nature, subjective. The problem is that people get sucked in and believe it, and worry that their blog isn’t good enough, or that they have nothing worth saying, when in fact ‘just being’ is good enough – in my (equally subjective) opinion! x

Lol, glad there are no rules BUT…….what about etiquette? (ok, I will slink away now as i don’t mean to cause trouble but Rachel got me into a bit of a tizzy there thinking of the twitter/meme etiquette lol)

Thank God for that! If there were any, I’d be breaking most of them, even if only unintentionally (is that a word?) – see that would probably be one broken right there!!

I think I love you! Very well said, my thoughts exactly and perfectly put!

May I tentatively suggest one rule? which isn’t of my own invention but of a blogger I read, of course I now can’t remember which matter

“blog like there’s no one reading”

I think that’s a good one to keep in mind.

    Skulks off again…

So, the first rule of Blog Club, is that there is no Blog Club. Right? Yeay. Skips off to write something controversial and guaranteed to raise eyebrows.
